The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress,
APGA, in Enugu State, Frank Nweke Jnr. has expressed optimism over Bola Ahmed Tinubu winning the forthcoming presidential election.

Nweke, while denying his former endorsement said that he was never at the cause of the interview with TrendOnline News revealed endorsing any presidential candidate, but said that he only disclosed that Bola Tinubu may likely win the presidential election because of his political sagacity, capacity and past records of achievements as a former governor of Lagos State.

The former minister also insisted that though he is vying under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, but he is still empowered by the law to vote for a candidate of his choice. He recalled again how the presidential candidate has helped him and his family during their thick and thin days and concluded that he may not openly campaign for him but will never deny the fact that he played a prominent role in his life.

The guber candidate also predicted that Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate shall fail the 2023 presidential election because he chose the wrong party instead of parties like APGA which has a structure in almost all the political wards in the country. He asked why he should support Obi’s candidacy when his support base is gradually reducing on daily basis.

“I can’t deny the fact that Bola Ahmed Tinubu has what it takes to lead the country. Nature demands that I should say the truth irrespective of whose ox is gored. Tinubu Ahmed is a political general. He has everything needed to take our country to a greater height. Speaking about one’s competence doesn’t amount to endorsement in any way. I only said that Tinubu from his track record of achievements can do the job and may likely win. I have never endorsed him but says he is capable,” Nweke clarified.
