Those who are surprised and shocked over the inciting trending video where the Senator-elect of Enugu North Senatorial zone, Bar. Okey Ezea threatened fire and brimstone against Nkanu people ahead of the March 11 governorship election, don’t know Ezea very well.
Ezea, who is also known as Nzeogwu is indeed Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu of our time. He is a rebel, violent and aggressive personality that lacks conscience, decorum and restraint.
What Ezea has done in respect to his threat against Nkanu people over governorship election is a tip of iceberg of what he will offer the people of the Enugu North Senatorial zone as a reward for wrongly and unknowingly electing him as their senator in an Obidient bandwagon style.
In the days ahead, Ezea will not spare anybody in his temperamental, garrulous and cantankerous attitude, not even the churches, priests and the constituents that aided his electoral victory without weighing the consequences.
It is quite unfortunate that the man who led thugs into Nsukka Catholic Cathedral some years ago to unleash mayhem on priests and disrupt their meeting was voted to represent Enugu North Senatorial zone in the Senate.
It could be observed that during campaigns, Ezea offered the electorate nothing other than threats, tantrums and aspersions against his opponents especially Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
Ezea has always seen every contest and engagement as war. His threat to Nkanu people ahead of the forthcoming governorship election is uncalled for and ill timed. It is the height of hypocrisy and tribalism for any reasonable person from Nsukka to root and campaign for Nsukka man to succeed another Nsukka man as Governor of Enugu state. This is not possible or fair.
Ezea has by his action in the trending video shown Enugu North zone people especially the churches and the priests that his choice in the Senatorial election was a grave mistake that will hurt and haunt the zone for long.
