Just In: Edeoga calls meeting of Nsukka Keke riders, transporters, says Nsukka zone must complete 16 years

By Andrew Nwaeze

Chijioke Edeoga, the guber candidate of Labour Party in Enugu State has today, 13 March, 2023 called the meeting of all the transporters and Keke riders in Enugu asking for their support ahead of the March 18 guber election, saying Nsukka zone must do another round of 8 years after governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to complete their 16 years entitlement.

In a meeting which was held at New Berries Park, Enugu, the guber candidate reminded the participants in the meeting that it is time for them to support their Nsukka brother to take another shot at the Enugu State Lion Building.

Mr. Edeoga admonished them to preach his candidacy to other colleagues from Nsukka, adding that he would win the election with the huge votes that would come from the Adada cultural zone.

He also said that his administration will ensure that Nsukka people dominated the state civil service and give the non-graduates access to free loan in order to start the business of their choice.

“I want us to understand one thing, we can’t play politics without bringing ethnicity or tribalism into play. I am from Isi-Uzo and we all are from Nsukka cultural zone. Everyone knows that Isi-Uzo is Nsukka and that is why I am preaching that you should support me and make this your project.

“I am not going to disappoint you, I promise to remember your union and give you all you need to excel in this state. My administration will employ a lot of you in my cabinet because I know that most of you are graduates. Let’s preach this message and ensure that your colleagues from all the local government areas in our zone buy into my candidacy.

“Enugu East Senatorial Zone and Enugu West Senatorial Zone were one zone before, and must be regarded as one zone. They have done 16 years, and we the Nsukka people must also do our 16 years. The only way to do that is by voting for me. I’m your brother and one of you. Mobilize Nsukka people for me, and I promise more development. We want to build another Enugu in Nsukka because very soon, we will get our Adada State,” Edeoga said.

Reacting to his request, the members lauded his plans and promised that the unions will do everything within their reach to make sure that he emerged the winner in the upcoming guber election in the state.
